Swift too slow for Production

“Much and more has been written about Apple’s new programming language, Swift… the rollout of it has been an absolute disaster: the compiler is a shambles, the language design is inconsistent in places and it’s stupidly difficult to get working in libraries, particularly if you want to support iOS 7.”

The blog post continues with performance comparisons. Read more at:

Foundation for Apps

Foundation for Apps is here! “The first front-end framework created for developing fully responsive web apps”.

It uses whole new vertical grid system with independent scrolling sections, perfect for building panel based applications.

Like every other Foundation release, its a very advanced framework which is at the forefront of web-apps, and from which most other frameworks are going to copy many functionalities and/or components.

Also homepage features already built templates for apps like Email, Music, Chat, Productivity, and others, so you can grab one and start from there

Its probably going to be a year or two ’til the competition catches up, so if you want to use the best of the best right now, use Foundation for Apps.
